Will Devaughn undergoes knee surgery

Nakatanggap ang PEP ng tawag mula sa manager ni Will Devaughn na si Paula Punla. Inoperahan daw sa kanyang right knee ang Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition housemate last Wednesday, February 11, sa St. Luke's Medical Center.

Naalala namin na noong i-launch sina Marian Rivera at Will as image models ng Jag jeans, idinadaing na ni Will ang kanyang right knee, na nasaktan daw sa paglalaro niya ng basketball. Sumasakit daw ito lagi. Dapat nga raw ay mag-a-undergo siya ng knee surgery, pero sunud-sunod naman ang trabaho niya kaya hindi niya ito mabigyan ng panahon.

Kinumusta namin si Will kay Paula.

"Out-patient naman siya," sabi ng talent manager. "Ipinasok siya sa operating room ng 7:30 a.m. at inoperahan for 45 minutes ang torn ligament sa right knee niya ni Dr. George Canlas. Pagkatapos ng operation, nag-rest lang siya at umuwi na rin sa bahay niya.

"Kailangan niyang mag-rest for a month habang nagte-therapy siya. Kaya pahinga muna siya sa ASAP at stop din muna ang recording niya ng album. After a month pa rin siya puwedeng mag-taping ng teleserye niya with Judy Ann Santos [Habang May Buhay]."

Saan gumagawa ng recording album si Will?

"Wala pa naman kaming nakukuhang recording company, inaayos muna namin," sabi ni Paula. "Kapag natapos na niya, saka kami makikipag-negotiate sa mapipili naming recording company.

"Actually, kababalik lang ni Will from a two-week vacation in the States. Four years na ring hindi niya nabibisita ang mommy niya who's based in Kentucky at ang brother niya, sa New York. Na-homesick din siya agad doon kaya bumalik na rin siya rito. Hindi na raw siya sanay sa buhay doon, mas gusto raw niya ang buhay niya rito.

"Pagbalik nga niya, in pain na siya, namamaga na ang tuhod at paa niya kaya hindi na siya nakatanggi nang sabihan ni Dr. Canlas na kailangan nang maoperahan ang right knee niya. Ngayon, okey na siya."

Biniro namin si Paula na baka may binalikan si Will dito kaya na-homesick agad while in the States. Si Riza Santos ba 'yon na kasama rin ni Will sa PBB?

"Ang alam ko, nasa stage sila ng ligawan noon, kaya lang umalis nga si Riza at bumalik ng Canada. May communication pa rin sila, nag-uusap naman sila. Kaya lang, hindi alam ni Will kung kailan siya babalik dito," kuwento ng manager ni Will.

Meet the sexy Coverboys during their May 9-10 concert

Expect sexy production numbers to be prepared by the nine members of the Coverboys for their first concert titled Coverboys Uncovered. TV idols Jake Cuenca and Rafael Rosell; Star Magic talent Marvin Raymundo; Pinoy Big Brother housemates Zanjoe Marudo, Victor Basa, Jon Avila, and Will Devaughn; and Be Bench models John James Uy and Ron Morales promise to make their fans scream with delight during the event to be held on May 9-10 at the Music Museum.

During the Coverboys Uncovered press conference at Jozu Japanese Bar and Grill in Quezon City last April 30, PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) asked the organizers what makes this concert different from the production numbers of the Coverboys during ASAP.

"It's more revealing. You will see the hidden talents of the Coverboys. And, of course, they will tease the audience," says Ronald Padriga, synergy specialist.

Coverboys Uncovered will showcase the playful, naughty, and steamy side of the all-male group. Special guests Vice Ganda, Ethel Booba, John "Sweet" Lapus, and Nikki Gil will make the concert even more enjoyable. This concert features the choreography and direction of Georcelle Dapat of the G-Force and is produced by ASAP Live and MJM Productions.

How long have they been rehearsing for this concert? Jon Avila says, "I've been in the Coverboys for one year now so I guess that one year has been practice for me. It will be worth your money."

According to Rafael Rosell, the Coverboys have developed a strong bond because of their weekly stint in ABS-CBN's Sunday variety show ASAP. "Kapag pumunta kayo sa dressing room namin ‘pag Sunday, it's like we're in a bar talking. Kulang na lang ang beer at billiards table. Sumasayaw kami dun, we try to memorize the lyrics of our songs."

For Star Magic Batch 15 member Marvin Raymundo, he felt a bit uncomfortable while shooting the video directed by Jojo Saguin. Marvin explains that the concept of the video is to have the Coverboys portray various fantasies of women. In his case, he is cast as a techie guy who chats with women on the Internet. Other members of the Coverboys will play a gardener, a construction worker, a hip-hop dancer, and a lifeguard.

Marvin says that he often encounters people saying negative things about the group but he takes the criticisms as a challenge. "Yung iba sinasabi, bakit kami nagkaroon ng concert, but you just have to prove them wrong, so we're really preparing for this concert." The 20-year old model-actor has appeared in the ABS-CBN shows Pedro Penduko, Super Inggo 1.5 and Lastikman.

The Coverboys were then asked if they have a special guest who will watch the concert. Zanjoe says Mariel Rodriguez will be in Hawaii, Rafael says his girlfriend Malaya Lewandowski is in Abu Dhabi, while Will Devaughn is unsure whether or not Riza Santos will watch the sexy concert. As for Jon, he says that his mother will be arriving in the Philippines on May 7, just in time for the opening night on May 9.

Will keeps his Head of Household title

In a wet and fun game of Dizzy Beam Crossing, the objective in today's HOH game is that each HM must strive to walk across the beam on top of the pool after being spun 10x on a rotating platform. They must cross in the shortest amount of time to win. Surprisingly, though, most of the players managed to make it to the other side of the beam inspite of their dazed states. Mariel was the only one unable to successfully cross the beam and fall into the pool.

In the second round, the five players who perfectly crossed the beam in the fastest time was Will, Riza, Baron, Ruben, and Donnie. They then had to endure the fast-spinning round platform and cross the beam again. Will was the first one to make an attempt, which he passed with flying colors. Riza, Ruben, and Donnie, however, were unable to finish their round as they all fell into the pool. Baron was the only one left to challenge Will. But in the end, Will was once again hailed as the Head of Household for this week.

Matagal nang naisusulat, hindi lang sa blind item, ang isang cell-phone sex video about a sexy star and a commercial model-turned-actor. Ang tinutukoy diumano na sexy star ay si Palmolive Palma of Baywalk Bodies. Ang model/actor naman daw ay si Will.

Mahaba ang naturang sex video, from the couple about to stand, till they end up in bed. Kita raw ang mukha ng dalawang magka-partner with Will's unmistakable trademark skinhead very clearly seen.

Ang video ay nasa pag-aari raw ni Palmolive, ngunit napasa-pasa ito sa ibang press kung kaya't kumalat ito. At that time, dahil mas kilala si Palmolive, halos hindi mabanggit ang pangalan ni Will, na kilala lang sa modeling and commercial circles. Pero sa showbiz news lumalabas ang video.

Jon vs Will: The Iron Kings

The two hunks of the housefaced off in this "hot" episode of Uber. Jon and Will battled to see who reigns supreme ironing as many clothes as they can. They must ensure that all clothes are perfectly pressed without a single fold or crumple. But having been both raised abroad, Jon in UK and Will in US, will the two easily learn how to use the native "plantsang de uling?"

Jon had help from Yayo, Mcoy, and Donnie, while Will had Ruben, Baron, and Megan by his side. In Round 1, Jon and Will competed to iron out as many clothes as they can, but they had to use the old-fashioned "planstang de uling." On Big Brother's signal, the two "plansta" hunks started the chore. Will took some time to learn how to iron a shirt, but Jon, on the other hand, had an easy time since, as he told Kuya, he had been ironing his own clothes since he was young. Because of this advantage, Jon managed to win the round after ironing out three shirts compared to Will who only finished two.

But in Round 2, the competition became more physical as Jon and Will ironed the clothes while on the housemates' body. Even though the two houseboys used an electric flat iron, the hard part was to carefully pressed the clothes without burning their mates's skin. Good thing that pads were placed underneath the clothing to protect the housemates from the hot flat iron. The other team members, despite being scared, willingly helped Jon and Will in accomplishing this task. But after a few minutes, Big Brother called off the game and took the clothes to see which ones were perfectly pressed.

Pleasant surprise for the Racing Godess by Mariel, Donni, Ruben, Riza and Will

Big Brother decided to connive with Mariel, Donni, Ruben, Riza and Will. Whether they were asked to make a sacrifice or a pleasant surprise for the Racing Godess remains to be seen. But for now, what's made privy to all of us is the special task which they started to accomplish right after they played tug-o-war.

With a touch of irony, they were told to take a bath first before proceeding to the storage room where their costumes lay in waiting for them. There the five selected celebrities covered their bodies with paint, following a unified checkered flag design, which we mostly see in circuits. To complete their outfit, they wore a strapped-tire on their waists. Then they came out of hiding by skating around the house with their brand new roller blades!

Naturally, Gab immediately realized that the task is related to her. She asked if it was a punishment but Mariel said no. Other than that, the five of them were tight-lipped regarding their "secret mission" which is extended till later. In fact, they were instructed to sleep on the living room for tonight with their costumes on!

Baron, Donnie, Will, and Ruben failed in their goblet pyramid task

This morning, Big Brother ordered another task that tested our housemates' patience, teamwork, and strategy. In the activity area, Baron, Donnie, Will, and Ruben must work together in building a pyramid using crystal water goblets. But the twist in this task was that they must the pyramid on an unstable beam and the pyramid must stand for at least 10 minutes.

Ruben and Baron took charge of building the pyramid, but the difficult part was that they have inflatable buoys on their body which kept them from moving freely. Meanwhile, Donnie and Will stood on the each sides of the wooden beam placed on top of a tin drum. Donnie and Will must work with one another in keeping the beam as steady as they can while Ruben and Baron placed the goblet pyramid.

During the task, the pyramid fell down several times, and this almost pushed Baron off the edge of his patience. Good thing Ruben always reminded his mates that they can do the task for as long as they stick together. On the other hand, Donnie and Will felt the strain on their legs as they tried to keep their feet on the unstable beam. But after several minutes of painstakingly trying to build the balanced goblet pyramid, Kuya called off the task, and the four guys left the activity area in disappointment. Nevertheless, they assured each other that they all gave their best shot to make the pyramid work.
